The Visiting International Professional Program provides opportunities for working professionals in a variety of fields to enhance their ability to contribute to international development. Director Miller will describe the outreach and recruitment process of VIPP, the types of learning experiences scholars select and examples of what they do following return to their home country.
AMBARAK ELATRASH, Libyan Career Diplomat
Currently enrolled as a VIPP scholar, Mr. Elatrash holds a political science degree from Alfateh University, and a political science postgraduate diploma from the Libyan Academy of Political Science . He has studied and taught English language in the UK and Libya and is conversant with the history and policies of Libya's government. He will discuss Libya's evolving relationship with the international community, the potential for increasing international trade with Libya and the role of the VIPP experience in his career.

This program provides in-depth information intended to inform, enhance and update the knowledge of those corporations and individuals engaging in, and considering entering into, defense activities. Participants will acquire a well-rounded overview of the essential elements of defense export controls. The presentation will cover how to apply for licenses, establishing compliance programs, as well as, hot topics and trends within ITAR.
