100th Annual Dinner on Wednesday, February 22
Annual Dinner to Celebrate the History of the Chamber and the Region.
Prestigious Community Service, Outstanding Small Business and Legacy Awards to be presented.
(Lansing, MI) – The Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce will celebrate its 100th Annual Dinner in an evening that will pay tribute to past Chamber presidents and also recognize the outstanding accomplishments of current day business leaders. The 100th Annual Dinner will be held as follows:

“The 100th Annual Dinner of the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce will be a truly memorable evening,” said LRCC President and CEO Tim Daman. “Our members will enjoy the historical memories of the Chamber and the region which will serve as the theme of the event. We will also honor our living past presidents as well as make the presentations of the Community Service, Outstanding Small Business and Legacy Awards.”
LRCC is proud to announce the winners of its annual awards that will be presented as part of the program following dinner on February 22.
Community Service Award
Robert Hoffman, public relations manager at the Wharton Center for Performing Arts is the 2011 Community Service Award Winner. Bob is an active community volunteer who recently mobilized many in the Lansing community with a “Pass It Forward” movement, which encourages individuals and various agencies to engage in selfless giving in the community. Bob Hoffman has been recognized by several volunteer organizations for his outstanding contributions. The Junior League of Lansing presented Bob with its Official Celebrity Award. The Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce recognized Bob with its Volunteer Service Award and the Capital Area United way presented Bob with the Elinor Barnes Award.
Outstanding Small Business Award
Dr. Marcy Street and Doctor’s Approach Dermatology have been named as the recipient of the Outstanding Small Business Award. Dr. Street founded Doctor’s Approach Dermatology in 1994. In the past 18 years, the company has grown from one office to a full service skin care clinic with three dermatologists, a licensed physician assistant and 14 employees. Doctor’s Approach Dermatology is well established and respected, attracting over 18,00 patients per year from all over the nation, as well as Canada and Africa. In 2012, Doctor’s Approach will be expanding to a new 12,000-square-foot location in Okemos. Dr. Marcy Street is a mentor and leader, making it a priority to devote her time and resources to others. As the first African American woman to ever be fellowship trained in the highly specialized and extremely competitive field of Mohs Surgery, Dr. Street has spent countless hours paving the way for others to follow in her footsteps.
Legacy Award
Maner Costerisan will be honored with the Chamber Legacy Award, which recognizes a long-standing Chamber member’s investment within the organization and its loyalty to the Greater Lansing region. Rooted in the Lansing community for over a century and a Chamber member for 73 years, Maner Costerisan is a full-service public accounting and business advisory firm dedicated to providing quality and reliable services based on specific client needs.
Tickets are still available for the 100th Annual Dinner of the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce. Individual tickets for members are $100 and a table of eight can be purchased for $800. The non-member price is $140. Tickets and registration are available at www.lansingchamber.org.
